Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with the letters in uppercase in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has been praised by the music press and bloggers. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two of the most notable covers the artist has done. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. It earned her some recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and being awed by the sounds it would make. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music more as a hobby as a career. They inspired her to write. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as her main influences. Her mother had said that her songs could not only help her achieve fame but also make others see their importance in the world and realize how they can benefit from them, she decided to begin performing publicly. She started playing piano when she was only six and started writing songs when she was nine. It was unknown to her family until she was fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. Her sole passion is writing music. Music to her is the most effective way to feel anything.
